PASHA DE CARTIER

PASHA DE CARTIER:
AN EXTROVERTED WATCH WHICH BREAKS FREE FROM THE CLASSIC WATCHMAKING FRAMEWORK.

An extrovert watch which steps outside of the box of classic watchmaking and embraces an assertive graphic signature: a square inside a circle.

The power of the Pasha de Cartier, a cult watch since 1985, caught the eye of the generations’ opinion leaders. Initially adopted by men, then immediately appropriated by women for the power it exudes. A standout watch that loves light, assumes its excesses and asserts its strength of character.

First launched entirely in yellow gold, it quickly became a heritage piece with its extraordinary diameter and chained crown. Its extroverted design is utterly in tune with the hedonism of the time. Bring joy to yourself, show off your happiness and be seen! It crystallises the success of an entire generation.

In 2020, the latest version of the Pasha watch is classic yet contemporary and remains as edgy as ever. The new Pasha de Cartier watch is sophisticated in terms of watchmaking functions and design details which combine to strengthen and maximise its ergonomic appeal. Crown, movement, personalisation and bracelet, we tell you everything:

AN ANTI-CONFORMIST DESIGN

With its distinctive codes and extraordinary design, the Pasha de Cartier watch embraces an assertive graphic signature.

On one side, a square rail-track is found in the circle of its dial, and on the other, four bold Arabic numerals ensure an ultra-contemporary, oversized appearance.

The singular bracelet is accentuated by the clous de Paris whilst its chained crown ensures maximum visibility.

THE PASHA DE CARTIER CODES

A square inside a circle, clous de Paris, Arabic numerals, a chained crown: the codes of the Pasha watch amplify its presence, originality and singularity.

  • A new crown: now more precious, the crown, hidden beneath the crown cover with its signature blue stone, is also set with a blue spinel or sapphire.

  • An in-house movement, visible through the case back: the transparent case back reveals the 1847 MC automatic calibre of the Pasha watch, produced at the Cartier Manufacture at La Chaux-de-Fonds.

  • A new clasp in the shape of a chain link attached to the crown opens to reveal a hidden, secret space where initials can be engraved.

  • A new interchangeable strap: in steel, gold or leather, all versions can be interchanged thanks to an adaptation of the Cartier-developed QuickSwitch system. This invisible mechanism blends into an architecture located under the case and is activated by a single push.
